Viscoelastic solution for intra-articular injection: pre-filled syringes of 2 ml disposable (sterilized water vapor), ready-Box 3.
Properties
Synovial ® is a hyaluronic acid solution buffered saline, endowed with viscoelastic properties. Synovial ® has a molecular weight between 800 and 1200 kDalton. Sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronan, another name often used) consists of repeated disaccharide units made of N-acetylglucosamine and sodium glucuronate. It is an essential component of synovial fluid and gives it its viscoelastic properties. Hyaluronate sodium in Sinovial ® is produced by fermentation and is not chemically modified. The contents of the syringes are sterile and nonpyrogenic.
Directions
Symptomatic treatment of knee OA without effusion. Synovial ® is an alternative appropriate joint fluid. It restores the physiological and rheological joint osteoarthritis. The therapeutic action based on the special properties of the hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid Sinovial ®, obtained by fermentation and chemically unmodified, is very well tolerated. By restoring the viscoelastic properties of joint fluid, Sinovial ® reduces pain and restores joint mobility. Synovial ® acts only in the joints where it was injected, and it has
no systemic effect.
Dosage and Administration
It is recommended to administer Sinovial ® according to a regimen of 3 injections, 1 week apart. Draw a possible joint effusion before injecting Sinovial ®. Do not use Sinovial ® if the packaging is opened or damaged. Inject Sinovial ® at room temperature and observing strict aseptic technique. Be especially careful not to touch the opening of the syringe by removing the cap. Use an appropriately sized needle 18 to 22 g. To ensure a tight connection and prevent leakage during administration, adjust the needle firmly to the connector on the syringe.
Cons indications
We should not inject into a joint Sinovial ® acutely inflamed or infected, or in patients with skin disease or infection at site of injection.
Precaution for use
Check the integrity of the packaging of the syringe before use. The use of quaternary ammonium, for skin disinfection or sterilization of needles, is prohibited because of the risk of precipitation of hyaluronic acid in the solution. The injection site must be located in healthy skin. Injected only into the joint space. Do not inject intravascularly. Do not inject outside the joint space in the synovial tissue or joint capsule. Extra-articular infiltration of Sinovial ® may cause local adverse effects. Do not use Sinovial ® in the presence of a significant joint effusion. Do not sterilize. The contents of the syringe is for single use only. As with any invasive procedure at a joint, it is recommended the patient to refrain from physical exertion after joint injection and only return to normal only after several days.
Adverse Reactions
Related events, such as pain, heat sensation, redness or swelling may occur at the injection site after using Sinovial ®. Applying ice to the treated joint can relieve such associated events. These usually regress
in a short time. The patient should inform the doctor about any side effect possibly occurring later.
Storage Conditions
Store at temperatures below 25 ° C. Do not freeze. Synovial ® should be used immediately after opening and discarded after use.
