Use
Cica-Care * is indicated for:
- Improve the appearance of hypertrophic scars and keloids (red and swollen), old or recent.
- Prevent their occurrence in sutured wounds.
- Step 1:
Wash hands before and after use.
Gently clean the wound and the skin on the edge with water and a mild soap and rinse with warm water. Dry the wound and surrounding skin.
Remove the gel plate blister.
- Step 2:
Cut the gel plate to fit the scar (use multiple sheets if necessary), keeping a slight overhang on the periphery.
Remove the protective paper printed.
- Step 3:
Place the gel plate, adhesive side on the scar, without stretching. If necessary, use tape to keep light Cica-Care * in place.
During the first two days, keep Cica-Care * 4 hours per day.
The next two days, eight hours a day.
Continue increasing the exposure time of two hours per day to a minimum of 12 hours per day. If possible, keep the plate Cica-Care * 24 hours per day.
- Step 4:
Wash the gel plate Cica-Care * 2 times per day with a mild soap or cleanser Cica-Care * and rinse thoroughly with warm water, dry, then reapply Cica-Care * scar on the cleaned.
- Step 5:
The piece of Cica-Care * used must be replaced when it begins to wear out or it becomes difficult to clean. This usually occurs after 14-28 days of use (lifetime varies according to the conditions of use of the plate).
The average duration of treatment is 2 to 4 months and the first results are visible after a few weeks.
Precautions
The dressing is Cica-Care * cons-indicated in patients with skin diseases reaching the integrity of the skin areas covered. Do not use on open wounds or infected. Do not use on skin acne.
Carefully follow the instructions.
Various clinical studies have revealed that less than 4% of patients with silicone gel plate showed a rash through the base silicon. This has been traced to the lack or absence of hygiene, or a plate too compressed. In the presence of a rash, it is best not to ask the plaque 12 hours per day. In case of persistence of the rash, stop applying the product.
The instructions, advice and technical information available to users only relate to the prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids. On surgical incisions, do not use Cica-Care * before suture removal.
