Why choose PHYSIOMANCE Vitamin B9 from THERASCIENCE Laboratory?
A coenzymated form for maximum bioavailability
Vitamin B9 is a water-soluble B group vitamin, not synthesized by the body. It is therefore necessary to provide it through food or taking food supplements.
Vitamin B9 can exist in different forms:
The polyglutamate or folate form, a natural form, found in foods (legumes, spinach, liver, whole grains, etc.);
The monoglutamate or folic acid form, synthetic form, mainly found in food supplements;
The L-methyl-folate form of calcium, a coenzymated form found in PHYSIOMANCE Vitamin B9, highly bioassimilable.
Once ingested, vitamin B9 undergoes various transformations to be assimilated in enterocytes (intestinal cells) in the form of monoglutamate. At the level of enterocytes, monoglutamate is converted into calcium L-methylfolate, a form that is directly absorbable into the circulation to be distributed to the various cells of the body.
Once integrated into cells, calcium L-methylfolate is reconverted into folate, a form that can actually be used by the body.
The intake of vitamin B9 in the form of L-methylfolate therefore makes it possible to provide the directly bioabsorbable form in the body to make vitamin B9 immediately usable.
