Indications for use, specifying the target species

Conditions sensitive to fipronil parasites.
In cats
Curative and preventive treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis ) and ticks, lice removal .
The duration of protection against new infestations is four weeks for fleas and ticks for two weeks .
In dogs
Curative and preventive treatment of infestations by fleas and ticks , lice removal .
The duration of protection against new infestations is two months for fleas and ticks for one month .
The drug may be part of a treatment program Allergy Dermatitis Flea ( FAD).
Cons -indications

In cats
In the absence of available data , do not treat kittens under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg .
Do not use on sick (systemic diseases , fever, etc ...) or convalescent .
Do not use in rabbits because of the sometimes lethal side effects may occur .
In dogs
In the absence of available data , do not treat puppies less than 8 weeks or weighing less than 2 kg .
Do not use on sick (systemic diseases , fever, etc ...) or convalescent .
Do not use in rabbits because of the sometimes lethal side effects may occur .
This product has been specially developed for dogs : do not use in cats as this can lead to an overdose .

Special precautions for the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals
This product may cause irritation to mucous membranes and eyes. So avoid contact with the mouth and eyes.
Animals or users with a known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should avoid contact with the drug. Avoid contact of the contents with your fingers. If this occurs , wash hands with soap and water .
In case of accidental exposure with eyes, rinse with clean water carefully . Wash hands after use.
Do not handle animals treated and not allow children to play with treated animals until the application site is dry . It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day but in the early evening , and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with owners, especially children. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.
Adverse reactions (frequency and seriousness)

If licking , a brief period of hypersalivation due to the nature of the carrier can be observed .
Among the extremely rare suspected side effects :
In cats
Transient skin reactions at the application ( scaling, local alopecia , pruritus, erythema ) and general pruritus or alopecia site have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation , reversible neurological signs ( hyperaesthesia , depression, nervous signs ) or vomiting have been observed after use.
In dogs
Transient skin reactions at the application site ( skin discoloration , local alopecia , pruritus , erythema ) and the general pruritus or alopecia were reported .
Exceptionally, hypersalivation , reversible neurological signs ( hyperaesthesia , depression, nervous signs ) , vomiting or respiratory signs have been observed after use.
Do not overdose .

In application to the skin .
cats
Pipette FRONTLINE Spot-On Cat animal ( 0.5 ml).
Dogs 2 to 10 kg: a pipette FRONTLINE Spot-On S per animal (0.67 ml).
Dogs 10 to 20 kg: a pipette FRONTLINE Spot-On M per animal (1.34 ml).
Dogs 20 to 40 kg : a pipette Frontline Spot-On L per animal (2.68 mL).
Dogs 40 to 60 kg: a pipette FRONTLINE Spot-On XL per animal (4.02 ml).
For dogs more than 60 kg , apply a pipette of 4.02 ml and a pipette of suitable lower volume. In the absence of safety data , the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks .
